Hey beauties! Today I am sharing with you my review of the L'oreal True Match Lumi CUSHION foundation! As always I shared my first impression on Youtube. I've been trying out my fair share of foundations and I don't know why but it's kind of one of my favorite things to do, to be honest.

I was really excited and skeptical to try this foundation, being that it is the first "Lumi" (luminous) foundation I've tried, as well as being the first cushion foundation I own.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION: The L'oreal Lumi Cushion foundation retails for 16.99, but prices could vary depending on your drugstore, right now it's 16.99 on Ulta.com but L'oreal is having a buy 2, get 1 free so I would definitely recommend getting your foundation there, not to mention that you can't swatch this at your local drugstore, so if you're not too sure which color would match your skin, I would definitely get it at Ulta (they have an awesome return policy). The foundation claims to give a fresh, luminous finish, for every skin tone and it claims to have buildable, customizable coverage.

MY EXPERIENCE: I purchased mine at my local CVS and kind of won the lottery when I picked the correct shade for me. This foundation currently only has 12 shades in the collection which I guess is why I was able to pick mine up. I really like the way they divided the colors. 4 on the cool side, 4 on the neutral and 4 on the warm. I purchased the shade W3 which is described as a Nude Beige. Because it's described as a luminous foundation I was hesitant to try it out, having oily skin I tend to stay away from anything that isn't matte but I wanted to challenge the foundation and I was really impressed with the way it ended up looking. I decided to try the applicator puff that comes with the foundation and though I didn't have great expectations for it, it really was a great tool to use to apply this foundation. Though I've read a lot of reviews telling combination/oily people not to give this a try, I as an oily gal would definitely tell people to try this foundation, once it is set with a powder you get a really beautiful natural matte but still healthy semi-luminous finish. I ended up using the puff applicator to apply my entire foundation and that's how I've applied it every time I've used it so I'm not sure how it would apply with a beauty sponge or brush, however I really like that I use the applicator because it makes this foundation great for traveling. I also really love the rose gold packaging. I do have to say that for 16.99 it is on the more expensive side of drugstore make up but being that it's such a great product I would definitely repurchase it but probably only during the cooler months when I'm not extremely oily.

BB_0998 BB_1008 THE BREAKDOWN: Finish: Luminous but can be mattified - 4 stars Longevity: Lastly about a good 7-8 hours - 4 stars Color Selection: Not too many shades but easy to pick - 4 stars Application: Easy to apply with puff applicator but it's a bit hard around small areas - 4 stars Coverage: Good but not great, however it is buildable and customizable - 4 stars

REPURCHASE: Yes but during cooler months MY OVERALL RATING: 4 stars RECOMMEND: YES
