February Glam Bag: #IpsyLove
A couple of years ago, MyGlam, a beauty subscription service was launched by Michelle Phan and other youtube beauty gurus. I personally heard about it first from AndreasChoice who is still one of my favorite youtubers but is no longer associated with the service now, Ipsy.
After years of receiving endless make up samples, a handful of stinky bags, and a few great products, I've decided to cancel my subscription and move on. I feel that I have outgrown the service.
I've been thinking about unsubscribing for a while now but just never got around, as I have documented the last few bags, I have come to realize that it really no longer fits my style, it's almost a childish thing.
With ALL of that said, I have nothing against the company itself, I've seen it grow, I've seen the mistakes they've made and how they've repaired them. I recommend this service to people who might not be too familiar with make up and want to experiment so mostly teens.
I wanted to say farewell in a post, I am getting an April Glambag but based on what I've seen in the Glamroom, it's nothing that amazing to post about.
So, please enjoy my last review of these bags and have a great day!
This peel off mask was okay in my opinion, nothing really stood out other than it's pleasant smell.
Now, if you know me, you know I'm not all about that blush, but this blush was so beautiful. It's a semi shimmer finish, which I usually would stay away from but I just think the coral color is truly perfect for any complexion.
I don't really use hair styling products but I did use this once for some stray away hairs and I didn't really notice this product made a huge difference but I appreciate that it's not like conventional hair spray, it didn't leave my hair hard and it was very easy to carry.
This is another product in the bag that surprised me. I usually hate lip glosses, for SO many reasons and I somehow always get on in my glambags, even though I clearly didn't choose lipgloss as one the products I'd like to be sent, but any who, I really love the color and texture of this gloss. It's a very flattering pink and it's not sticky like most lip glosses.
This purple eye pencil was a hit for me, it's semi-shimmery but really pigmented which makes it look very opaque. It also didn't require me to beat my eye up for a good application so I definitely recommend these eye pencils.
March Glam Bag: Floral Fantasy
NYX Butter Lipsticks are wonderfully soft and I would have loved this product had the color not be so terrible.
I'm not a huge fan of highlighters, because I love a matte face, but I really enjoyed this one for some reason. It's not extremely shimmery and the color is quite subtle, this is definitely a product I'll experiment with!
Probably my favorite product in this bag, this concealer confused me at first because it had no label but once I figured out what it was and used it, I fell in love. It's creamy but not cakey, it's a really nice warm shade which helps hide any blemish! I'm almost running out because I've been using it daily now.
This is one of those products that I enjoy but definitely don't need. This hand cream is really nice because of the smell and the bottle is a decent size for a sample, it's also organic which is always a plus.
And last but not least, this cleanser came in handy while traveling! I had my regular cleanser but I wanted to try this one out, I really loved the creamy, milky texture. It was very delicate on my sensitive skin and it smelled wonderful.
As always these products were bought with my own money and all opinions are my own, just wanted to share my experience and my thoughts on these bags!
