My Little White Summer Dress
I am so happy that it's Saturday and that I get to share a new look with you all!
So originally I was going to share a different look but it ended up raining on us....which is so rare in Florida during the summer! (NOT)
The bloggers down here are almost petrified of rain at this point, I can't tell you how many shoots I've had to reschedule because of these horrible scattered thunderstorms. They're ruining our lives!
BUT some days, it doesn't rain very early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and shooting white is always not a bright idea when it's bright outside, so I opted to shoot it later in the afternoon and while it was a challenge, we got it!
And now onto what I love about this look. Typically I am NOT, I repeat, I am NOT, a girl who wears white. Partly because I am devoted to black and partly because I just think it's not very flattering, unless you're Beyonce or JLo, which I am neither. But I saw this lace dress on Nasty Gal for a steal and I just love long sleeves and thought it would be a beautiful summer night dress. Let's face it, down south, thats way too much clothes in the summer.
It's been about 2 months since I got it and I didn't post it sooner because I had no idea how I was going to style it but AS SOON as my new Rebecca Minkoff (tiny) purse came into the mail, I knew that it was meant to be with this white dress.
Really hilarious story about this purse, actually it makes me wanna cry but it's just really funny.
I was on Hautelook the other day and I saw there was a sale on the Minkoff bags, which I have been after for ages, but since I refuse to spend 300 dollars on a tiny purse, I have stayed away from. The name of this TINY bag is Camera Bag and so I thought, 'OMG, it's a camera bag!' and to my defense there was only a close up of the inside and outside and I got so excited that it was 80 dollars that I just didn't read the specifics. Which leads me to today's lesson, ALWAYS READ SIZE DIMENSIONS, especially when it comes to purses. LOL.
Anyway, I was so excited to have a cute and somewhat affordable camera bag and when I saw the box it came in, I immediately knew that it was not meant for cameras.....unless they meant like Iphone cameras and/or point and shoots.
Well Rebecca Minkoff, you win, because I still loved the bag too much to return it.
I really am a little too in love with this tiny purse but now I feel that we are meant to be together since this happened. Funny huh?
I hope you are all enjoying your weekends!
